Songwriters have always needed a cheap way to show a piece of work existed on a given date. The old trick was to post yourself a sealed envelope and never open it. It is still the advice handed out in forums, and it has never been especially convincing.
Music Proofs does the same job properly. You hash the file, whether that is an audio bounce, a stems archive or a lyric sheet. The hash goes to a public blockchain, and you get back an evidence bundle: a certificate with a QR code, a machine-readable receipt, and a public verification page.
The file itself never leaves your machine. A hash is not the music, so there is nothing to leak, and nothing to trust anyone with.
Verification needs no account and no software. Anyone you show it to can check it themselves.
